Originally from Toronto, my family and I have resided in Cary, North Carolina since 2006. We immediately fell in love with the area, easily understanding why it is continually ranked among the “best place to live and raise a family”. Having two small children (now teenage boys), we quickly discovered many of the incredible amenities that surrounded us; great schools, wonderful communities, a multitude of parks, museums and attractions. Best of all is its convenient location for short road trips to the beach or mountains.

Over the years I’ve had a lot of personal experience with buying and selling properties, this combined with my love of home decorating and design has led me to discover my passion for real estate. I moved to Durham in March of 2018 from New Hampshire with my husband Marshall, 3 children Courtney (17), Preston (15),  Kade (8), and our 2 dogs Aspen and Augustus.

After having worked in retail for 3 years I decided that I wanted to continue working with the public in a meaningful way.  That is when I decided to get involved in real estate.  Wether you are selling your 1st house or your 5th house or buying your 1st house or 5th house it is a big decision and I would love to help you.

Lyn and her husband John moved from Cumming, GA with 2 of there 3 children, 12 years ago and have never looked back. Fell in Love with North Carolina and all it has to offer from the mountains to the beaches!!!. Today all three of there children reside in the triangle area and have presented Lyn & John with 7 beautiful grandchildren. 

Lyn’s love of and  experience with horses makes her the perfect agent to assist you in your search for horse properties, in and around the Triangle area, or maybe some trail riding. As a Garner, NC, native and resident of Clayton since 1993, I am thrilled at the prospect of helping others find their dream home in this wonderful part of the state I embrace and call home. In raising our son, Ty, my husband and real estate partner (Tommy Myatt) and I have explored and sampled the many parks, museums, churches, local youth sports organizations, local community theater, educational institutions, athletic facilities, and dining experiences that this area has to offer and could not feel more fortunate to live and raise a family here. Through volunteer positions with Raleigh Rattlesnakes Youth Rugby and Clayton Youth Theater, we have deepened our involvement and commitment to the area and look forward to enjoying its steady, yet never stifling, growth.

Brooke has prior experience in customer relations, social media, and personnel management. Her responsibilities included providing executive management oversight of federal Community Development grants, Economic Development Programs and Development and Rehabilitation of new and existing affordable housing.

Jim received his North Carolina broker’s license in 2006 and his Colorado broker’s license in 2010.

Growing up in the oil fields of North West Pennsylvania, Jim was awarded an Air Force ROTC scholarship to Allegheny College and graduated with a BA in Economics.

In his career he obtained an MBA from Chaminade University of Hawaii while working in Hawaii as a liaison with the Wellcome Foundation in London, England.

Jim spent 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry beginning as a sales representative, working his way up through a District Managers position as well as a Regional Managers position and eventually became Executive Vice President of a start up pharmaceutical company.

Throughout his business career Jim has been involved in training employees and helping them obtain their career goals. This has instilled in him a desire to help people by teaching. He attended North Carolina State University where he obtained an M class teaching license for the State of North Carolina and worked for several years as a full time substitute teacher in the Wake County School System.

Jim has worked in Real Estate since 2006 listing properties and working with buyers and in property management. He is very active in his neighborhood HOA serving many different positions.

He is a father and stepfather to six children and grandfather to five.

Teaching and helping adults has been a gratifying focus for many years and Jim’s desire and interest to continue on this path of teaching Real Estate has resulted today in many successful Real Estate brokers.

As Senior Vice President at Singh Development LLC, Mike spent nearly 34 years directing the Development Department in all facets of the development of single family subdivisions, luxury apartments, continuum of care senior living retirement communities and mixed use/commercial projects  There he helped grow the company by developing over 2,100 single family lots; adding over 2,800 multifamily apartments to an existing portfolio; creating a premier senior living division (Waltonwood) with nearly 2,000 independent living, assisted living and memory care units; and developing 200,000 s.f. of commercial and light industrial projects.  Mike retired from Singh Development LLC in the fall of 2018.

Mike joined NC Real Estate Firm in October of 2018 as a broker and became the Broker In Charge (BIC) of the Commercial Division in May of 2019.  Mike’s wife Kelli is also a broker with the firm and was instrumental in bringing him aboard.  He and his wife moved to the Raleigh area from Michigan in the summer of 2010 and have thoroughly enjoyed living and growing with their family in North Carolina.  We look forward to the growth of the Commercial Division and the expansion of services offered by the firm.

Outside of being part of a Navy family and living in many ports of call across the USA in my early years, I was born and raised in North Carolina.  I began my career with The NC Real Estate Firm, LLC almost from its inception and I now assist sellers and buyers in a territory that covers the North Carolina piedmont all the way to the coastal regions.

As a member of both the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors and Cape Fear Realtors, I am having a lot of fun realizing my bucket list dream of being a realtor/broker where I can help clients realize their own dreams in a wide territory across the state.

My wife of 30 years, Tracy Cordell Myatt is also a realtor/broker with the firm and we often work together in a team approach where we can assist our clients collectively if the need arises.

Prior to a career in real estate, I have worked for over 30 years in the information technology field specializing in communications, collaboration, network and home security technologies. I was the Physical Director with the Raleigh YMCA on Hillsborough Street (Barney Fife’s “Y”) working and directing adult physical and recreational programs and then worked almost a decade with the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union coaching youth and high school rugby with the Raleigh Rugby Football Club.

The common denominator with all those experiences was working with and helping people achieve their goals through any challenges and obstacles put before them. I find that personally satisfying and simply put, “partnering with clients, serving people and building relationships makes it all fun”

Tom grew up in Rochester, NY, but now calls North Carolina his home. He and his wife, Darlene, relocated to Cary twenty years ago and immediately fell in love with the area. With family first, he quickly became engrossed in his children’s activities which led to Tom becoming involved with the community and served on the Cary Park and Recreation advisory committee for three years.

One of their favorite places to visit is Sunset Beach, NC where they own a condominium in a golf course community. Tom has served as a board member on the homeowners associations in Cary and Sunset Beach.

Tom holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut and BS in Accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology. After working over 25 years as a Chief Financial Officer in both domestic and international corporations, he decided to start his own consulting firm. Throughout his business career, Tom has been involved with the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School supporting various programs that coach and help individuals develop their entrepreneurships. He also served as a member of the Duke Fuqua School of Business Management Committee and taught Management Accounting at Western Connecticut
University.

Tom’s passion to teach and coach others, along with his business experience, motivated him to become a real estate broker. Tom is excited to be part of The NC Real Estate Firm with Jim and Carolyn Hriso.
